I have been reading best polish pc games magazine since 2002. Was realy nice, good reviews, nice style and interesting not only gaming articles. Ofcourse from time to time I could dissagree with something, or just approach but that was okay. Now after all these years, some mistaken reviews imo or even stupid ones, money wasted on some supposedly good games and Half-Life 2: Episode One review I just trashed all editions I had without any regreat.

It just seems like sooner or later you will get annoyed by the magazine no matter how much you like it (I realy did), it can lead to wasted money or sometimes just reading it can compleately piss off. I will not buy any other gaming magazine again as it's a waste of money imo.

Sometimes it does not work, demo usualy (not always though!!!) contains some great gameplay part that will draw your attention to the game (so was the case with my wasted money, I played demo and read review). Anyway, my point is that yes, you should try demos, talk with other people and that stuff. Gaming magazine will fail you someday eventually.

Never really happened to me, and I have like 50+ original games, most bought after reading the review...and I'm quite happy with them so far.

Only Computer Gaming World (or CGW magazine), I can't get it in the shops here so I read the e-version. I like their humor alot.

As for me, well I used to read Power Unlimited, but eventually I got bored off it as I don't bother reading reviews anyways, and I only used to to catch up on the latest gaming news.

As with the Internet nowadays, most gaming magazines haven been turned obsolete in my opinion ( even with exclusive previews that are usually online within a hour ).

'[21PzStauffenberg']Never really happened to me, and I have like 50+ original games, most bought after reading the review and I'm quite happy with them so far.[/quote]Same here, if not more. As I've said I was buying it for long time and many times their reviews led me to buying interesting games. But they made big mistakes or just done stupid things in cases of realy important games, and the fact I lost money twice is not a big deal. I always try to look at things from different points of view, adding developement of knowledge on how actaually making games look like some comments in magazine can be realy annoying. But leaving that I also think that review of Half-Life 2: Episode One realy turned me against it, so here I am.

You would have to get it out from rubbish or ask some hobos if they didn't found any.:p You know CD-Action right? I had all of them since 2002, every cd/dvd and addon, I done what I felt it deserved for.
