Hearts of Iron II, has been released for a while, and I've been able to play the demo, one word.......NUTS! This game is like (1998)Axis & Allies and Rise of Nations crammed into one outragiously killer game. The year is edging towards 1936, and you must choose which nation you want to lead? Will you lead lame arse Italy to victory in Ethiopia?, or steer France clear, of making the huge mistake of the Maginot Line? Or will you force Republican party canidate Landon to defeat Roosevelt in US's 1936 elections?, Or be the Swiss, and declare war on somebody, instead of being a neutral puss, who keeps the money of other nations? Yes thats right, a game on WWII that lets you choose who you want to fight for, instead of the fantastic 5 (Germany, Japan, US, UK, USSR). This game is the most in-depth strategy game of WWII, probably of all-time. Lead the nation of your choice through WWII, will the facist nationalists win the Spainish Civil War? Its all up to you, thats right, you can alter history, by making Italy pwn someone for once, how about Russia....hahaha...that's impossible...Oh darn! I don't think its impossible at all, you just need to round up the women and mandolin's and force Italy to fight on that....I'm joking. But this awsome game, that can allow you to choose the leader of your country, (How bout we slam Hitler's funny mustach arse, and replace it with Goering's funny fat gut arse) But this game is certantly not about politics... This games real charm is on the battles, that's were this picks up, you can build your nation's forces up, and fight your way across Europe, or Asia, or South America, or Spain, or the US, or the....(SHUT UP ALREADY!) This is the real spark, you can let Patton become the Supreame Commander of Europe, or can him.....Either way, you will lead your generals, to victory or defeat, it all depends on how well you move men, and materials, and how well you general's follow orders, and how well the soldiers fight..... IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU!!!!

Totally agree with you. HoI2 is a pretty damn impressive game. Its very hard the first few times you try it, since its so god-damn imense, but after a while you get a hang on it! I just love playing HoI2 on a LAN...making secret alliances versus your "friends"...

hmmm...I dont know anyone. But a few tips: -play through the tutorial some times. -never start as one of the main-countries. IMO, a good first-time start to get the hang of it, is Spain.
