I had never even been to The History Channel's site, assuming, based on its usual mile-wide-but-inch-deep coverage of any given event, that its forums would reflect its programming style. Mirable dictu!, a brief scan of threads and posts showed that the threads were very interesting, and many posters extremely well-informed and literate. Might be a helpful source for some. Find it here.

*edit* After a tad longer look, I need to add there also seems to be quite a bit of nationalist nyah-nyah going on, and it's so very tiresome. It's not in every thread, but because of it the overall feel is much less respectful than the FH boards. So pat yourselves on the back (and the mods too of course).
