How do you aim with that strange rear sight ? i havent found a good picture of the thing so i drew one in paint, the RED part would be the front sight the black the rear sight.
while playing resitance & liberation or the current internal beta :p i found if awfully hard to aim properly with that thing.
in RnL i just spray & pray which most of the times work on short distances vs k98 grenadiers but longer distances make me miss like hell.
in fh2 i hit nothing except close range, however i dont like SMGs i rather take a trusty rifle, even if it is bolt action.
so how does that thing work, i guess very much like the peek-hole sight on the m1 garand. ther ei can understand the sights for long range shooting focusing the "vision" trough the small hole to increase visability on ranged targets. but on an SMG ?? and what is the notch on the top good for ?
i just dont get it.
maybe some of the experts here can help me out :naughty:

Me too I suck with the SMG.... :( I need to learn it from scratch, not shoot like I did in FH1, which also wasn't the best because of the ridiculous network code/bug/hitbox latency thing... In fh2 if you hit you hit, and he dies.. but I still spray n pray and usually end up dead...
At least Im better than you in L4D happy =p
no you are not ill pounce your little ass every VS-game with flaming hunter rage
but back on topic plz
btw i m not asking for INGAME explanations i m more interested in real live stuff
I believe the top notch is for long distances and the center hole for closer.
I'm not positive though. I never really understood the thompsons sights. :)
Why make all sights in fh to the notch? Would be better I guess.
I have a manual at home when I get home this afternoon I'll see if I can find it. (In school right now listening to a grad student trying to teach us dynamics, and watching a pigeon sitting on the window...)
In game I try to use the Thompson in semi auto only, more accurate. Best way to learn is to start a map and start shooting at objects.
