WTF???? Ok I know there was a lot of paranoia on the West Coast of North America immediately after Pearl Harbour, but these guys MAKE AIRPLANES for crying out loud! They had to know the limits of air power and that a Japanese air raid on Burbank was a practical impossibility. England and Germany on the other hand, could really have used that.

Ha, never seen the pictures before. Good find. Legand has it that the Warner Brothers Movie Lot, which looked close enough to the plant, had the words "LOCKHEED THAT AWAY -->" painted in big white letters on the roof.
