So a friend of mine has a trio of very nice rifles he acquired recently - SMLE No.1 Mk.III*, K98, and Type 38 Arisaka. Just thought I'd post this video for those of you who'd like to take a look :)

(if that isn't working, link is YouTube - Jimbom's Rifles)

Very nice. I recieved a K98 similar to your friend's one there, except mine was a Serbian made version, still in decent condition though and very cool nonetheless.

It's amazing how fast the bolt can be worked on the Enfield.

Brilliant design.

Yeah, i was just guessing as to how it was really pronounced, thanks for the tip mate!

If you wait out for a week or so i'll get some footage of the SMLE and K98 actually firing.

oohh.. I love your collection!

I've been trying to find a No1 for quite a while now but apparently people aren't too keen to sell their SMLE.. understandably though, I'd die befor I'd give up an enfield :P

What's the next rifle on the list to get? :D

I'm not too sure how common No.1's are in Europe... But I'm rather lucky over here in Australia that the No.1 was our in service rifle for almost 50 years, and when we replaced it with the No.4 in the early 50's the Army decided to cache them for some sort of perceived later need but then sold them off a few decades later when they came to their senses. That being said, it is getting harder and harder to find a good quality one like mine, as many have been used/abused, had modifications made to them (the oddest one I've seen to date was a Picatiny Rail welded to the receiver) or been sporterised to comply with the Civy market.

I will also try and get some way of showing the sheer lethality of the .308 and .303 rounds
