May I be in the minority and say Dude, what the f*ck and the navy comment was the icing on the cake. 30 year olds get married, not guys fresh out of puberty.
edit: Just so you know this comment was directed towards the topic author, not Omni who I'm currently having an affair with.
OmniBut of course it's mostly because I'm not for divorces, so I think that a marriage should be a wise move, that you won't regret for the whole life
I completely agree. It is definitely not something to be taken lightly. You both will need to seriously think about it because you won't want to get caught up in something you can't get out of. Remember it's potentially the rest of your life you are talking about here!
My dad got married to his first wife at 21 and he has told me on many occassions that it was WAY too early.
Jesus man, I'm 19 and there's NO WAY I'd even consider marriage for at least a couple more years.

Kading, this is an ORDER:
DON'T DO IT
You are too young, way too young. And the Navy will only make it worse, much worse. Being 18 years old, with your husband away at sea for 6 months, you are bound to get bored.
Get married a lot later in life, not now.
Kading, look. I'm 20 years old, and I've been married to a beautiful wife for two years (as of the 22nd of this month). I swear, it's the best decision of my life thus far. However, I'd previously known my wife for five years, since the beginning of 7th grade. Therefore, we had a lot of time to think about it. Normally I'd say "go for it." But since you're 18, and you've only been dating for six months, AND you're joing the navy, I'd hold-off for a while. Marrying a girl, and then running-off to a destroyer, running loops around the globe for a few years, just isn't the way to start-off a marriage. If I were you, I'd wait until after you get out of the service to marry her.
I didn't make it!
oscar989I think hes trying to say that you will regret it?
yes thats what im saying i mean i had no choice in the matter for me and i dam well cant tell you not to do nor any one else for that matter its all up to you , and please please follow your heart you will know when its time, also find out if she is ready for it ask little question not giveing to much away.
