Yep guys, South Korea biggest enemy is about to die, your time has come Kim.

Reports: North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Il Has Pancreatic Cancer | World News | Sky News

What do you think? Will Korea Unite? or this will be the start of the Third World War?.

In my Opinion, i have 2 Sides. Before you read the next text, you should know that any part of myself wants Kim alive.

One part of me wants Kim dead.

Other part of myself wants him to suffer.

I heard that Kim have a guy who will take the throne of N Korea.. but there could be many, many ways. Maybe he will say "OMG I HAZZ NUKES!" and start nuking S Korea, or Australia who knows.

What do you think?

His successor will be weak and dominated by his advisers.

His advisers will try to hold onto their own power at all costs. Needed change will not happen. His advisers will fight with each other leading to unstable government.

Their government will eventually collapse as the economic morass becomes too great. Different factions within the DPRK government fight with each other. Stable government disappears until either:

a) One faction wins and declares re-unification with South Korea. Then, the problems really start.

b) China invades to "secure the peace" and sets up a new Chinese puppet regime.

I think you are on the right track with your suppositions, but NK has already been in a constant state of collapse pretty much since the 50's. It's people are starving, the country is completely broke, and let's not even BEGIN to talk about how fucked up everyone is culturally. This is a nation that already has several generations of people who were brainwashed-from-birth, and have little or no knowledge of the workings of the outside world.

When he dies, he will probably be succeeded by someone weak who is related to him. At that point a number of things could happen. He could try to continue what Kim Jong started -- trying to buy off the world with nukes. OR he will pretty much be a puppet for whoever decides wants to take over power from within the government. Either way, I don't see any kind of reunification anytime soon. For sure, the outcome will be the same for the people of North Korea -- misery.

China can't afford to lose North Korea so I believe that they will intervene should everything collapse.

East germany was "broke" also since the 70s, it would have existed today if it wasnt for the protests, same goes for the USA with trillion dollar debt, it wont collapse anytime soon.

north korea is doing alot better since the 90s with the famine etc, i say everyone needs to leave those 2 koreas alone and let them figure it out themself, they are devided cause the rest of the world tooled with it for decades, both sides want to reunite, so i have a feeling germany could be an excellent middleman to help with that.

Sure everyone is near death.

After kims death, i think a New Iran/Xinjiang will start in N Korea, i can clearly see masses of North Korean civilians, not requesting unification, maybe not everyone, but requesting foog, better health care.

The country is prety fucked up, a weak state who thiks they are the kings of Asia.. common, if S korea starts a war, N korea would not be able to beat them.

N korea is lost, Russia wont help, China will stay out (They are winning a war, the economic one), North korea will stay alone agains the UN, they couldnt defeat them in the 50', whit USA getting troubles everywhere, why they could defeat S Korea (wich is a pretty strong army)and the UN?.

The other day i went to OMGLE, is a website where you can chat whit strangers. one of them was South Korean, i asked him"What do you think about North Korea, you wanna live in North Korea whitout anyone watching at you?".

He replied, this situation is bullshit, i had enough of this, i want to join some unification movement and march peacefully over (inser N korean capital name here, i dont remember) and unite korea.

i dindt expected that, i was expecting for "Yeah, i would grab a gun and kill them all, for traitors".
