The Madsen LMG is known as one of the first realy light machine guns, While I was looking for some info about this weapon. (dutch used them). I sudently found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ErxzoDu4Uc This is in brazil thought, Firefight between the police and drugdealers. I read that the police stil use some of them! Rather strange imo. Are there any other force around the world still use this weapon? Vinci

Im not suprised. I remember videos of weapons caches that included a couple of STG 44s during the most recent invasion of Iraq. If it still works, people will use it.

You mean if your country is dirt poor and it works... The idea of picking up a few STG44s then going AWOL in Iraq sounds kind of attractive now. But I wouldn't get far :P...

if it works and it's cheap, what's wrong with it? seems to make more sense than having wicked expensive equipment that works only slightly better than its inexpensive counterpart. so why not use a Madsen rather than an M-249 or some AK varient rather than a FAL or an M-16?
