Flyboy1942;4760291Perhaps Germans were spying on Brits at Dover? I wonder where else has tall, vertical white cliffs?

M√łns Klint in Denmark? I doubt the picture is from there, but it has tall, vertical white cliffs!

Some of them are quite spooky ... sometimes they make me feel like an allied agent behind enemy lines secretly snapping away.

Lobo;4760261 Can someone say me where is this?

I think the description translates "French soldiers in deckchairs at frontline bunker". At first I thought Dover, but how could it be unless it's taken by an agent ?

It says: "France, channel coast: Soldiers in deckchairs at bunker of the atlantic wall"

The picture is about cap blanc nez. It protects an entry to inlands (Escale) so you can't land and take the massive artillery bunker(460-380mm) from the back. On the top of the cliffs, there were various post of observation, and aa positions.

Thankyou Seth_Soldier !

I remember my Geology now. That chalk is the same slab of chalk that we see at Dover. That area is the closest point to Britain which makes those two sunning themselves in the deck chairs look even funnier

Especially due to the rotation of earth, French can see clearly UK, but not the contrary. I live near this place (some kms) so i can see Ctz and McGibs sometimes

From what I could tell from the caption, this was in Rome.
