So this summer I got mandatory Math work(Teach myself 3 chapeters of Geomentry from a book). There was only one question I couldn't get is:What is the maxium number of planes determined by 5 points, no 3 of which are colinear.I'm not asking for you to do my work, its only one question in a book of 120 pages. Answer in back of book:
My firend he helped me made a list of :123, 134,etc(I didnt get it)
A plane is defined by 3 points, as a line is defined by 2 points. The question is simply, how many combinations of 3 different points can you make with 5 points?
123 124 125 134 135 145 234 235 245 345
Thank you very much!
I suck at Geometry, but if you ever need help on Algebra I'm you man!;)
I have to take geometry this year too, mom bought me a book to do over the summer. I'm on circles right now. (working on something about tangents and inscribed polygons...)
Also thanks ! :)
