Help me out fellas, I am coming to certain realizations. Over the past three weeks, Ive logged into FH2 three times. After about 10 minutes, Im done. In fact today I logged in and was done in more like 6 minutes. Ive probably played it 8 hours total since the release. Im just not feeling it. I dislike North Africa, I dislike the whole "spawn on" thing. I dislike getting peppered with handgun fire but above all, as I stated before, I dislike the whole BF2 engine in general. Something isnt right with it (BF2). Now dont get me wrong, we've all watched as the devs have put a ton of work into an amazing release and deserve tons of props for a great product that, well, simply doesnt appeal to me, this one guy. I knew this to be a possibility when I first bought BF2 and hated it. Im sure Ive played FH2 more then BF2. So what now then? I guess its just wait for the rolling green hills and forest that I really enjoy, maybe a couple of patches in, things get smoothed out? Help me out fellas, I sure dont like talking this way! :(

You're not alone Stylie. :( For some reason, FH2 hasn't addicted and drawn me in like FH1. The thing FH2 has most attracted me with is probably ironsights. If FH1 had ironsights I would probably go back to the original mod, my first love.

FH2 is great, but the BF2 engine totally stinks. No randomization code, foilage dissapears at certain lengths, etc.

Also, it's kinda North Africa. I was never fond of it in FH1, although FH2 has improved it alot.

Also, FH2 seems to be less oriented to pubplay and relys alot more on squads.

Overall, FH2 hasn't addicted me like FH1, but I'm gonna wait for the other theaters and patches before a final decision :)

Hi, my names jumjum, and I have only played maybe 10 hours of online FH2. I did a thread in GenDis on the differences between BF2 and what I was used to. I think this is just one of those evolutionary moments where we must adapt or die. But no, I haven't felt any warmth for it like I did for all of the FH's before it.

play to have fun and enjoy the show. Don't even look at the stupid scores, I found something so simple as this can boost the fun factor enormously

Nope, I never bother with the scores. It's gameplay.

Yes, I enjoy FH2 a great deal but I stand with the "Failed to make me an addict" crowd. Maybe its the lack of varity, but I somewhat have to blame the BF2 engine, it just doesn't seem to lend itself towards those stupid/awsome moments that made FH1 (IE, taking out a Panzer with a P-40, driving wildly off the sides of mountains, you know what I mean). Plus the BF2 engine makes driving a chore instead of an excuse to fly through a city at the speed of sound, careening off walls and leaping over rubble piles.

I agree with stylie. I haven't played FH2 very much at all after the release...it just doesn't appeal to me like FH1 did. The reasons are the same for me as well; the BF2 engine just doesn't have the right 'feeling,' no matter what you do with the code or cosmetics.

I'm still gonna test the heck out of it with the internal builds, but I just don't see myself playing the released versions as much in the near future. :(

EDIT - The devs' work is godly; the BF2 engine sucks.

Understand, my problems are with BF2 and EA, not FH. I resent having to go "online" to play SP (there's that lack of personal control again); the interminable "double spawn" time that I have found every time I play MP or even SP;and the the walks/runs to anywhere that take forever (even running feels like it's being done in a vat of molasses). Thank goodness FH 0.7 still lives and breathes.

I really feel the same way, I just don't feel as hooked. Fh1 I could play for literally 12-14 hours in a row which happened. FH2 I get bored after like 1 hour, the quality is great but it's something else.
