I've finally visited Normandy, including the causeway I based my The Attack on Carentan-1944 map around. I took lots of photos (around 1500 infact) of various places, including the area around Carentan, they're a bit too much to show in one thread (unless somebody would be interested in some particular location), but they're in FH devs' hands as reference. Anyway, for those interested, here are some photos of the causeway N13: 101 starting position, the old tannery.

Douve river, bridge number 2 and the remaints of the old bridge.

Mr_Cheese was right, these aren't willows.=D

Bridge number 3.

And the garden nearby.

Main part of the road, yeah, it appears to be a bit shorter in reality. Sorry to all those who find it a bit of an overkill in the game.:p

The endless, now a bit dried marsh.

Bridge number 4 on La Madeleine canal.

"Purple Heart Lane" section, now covered by some warehouses.

Ingouf Farm, missing right wing of the structure, in favour of the new road apparently.

Cut off canal, part of water draining system.

Pvt Allen, your map is ridiculously awesome. It is the best map IMHO. BTW, those are Sycamore trees, in Europe, they may call them Plane or Buttonwood trees, usually found next to water.
Oh, the tree from beighbour's porperty that Mrs. Burnham from American Beauty cut because she was annoyed by their cats.:p Anyway, thanks for the kind words about my map. If anybody's interested in photos from places like Pegasus Bridge, all the landing beaches except for Utah, Longues-sur-Mer battery or Carentan - I can post here a couple later.
Feel free to post them, it is nice to se how does the places look in RL. :)
Okay, I'll do so later, now I have to attend to FH2 betatest.
Ask them when the release date is!!!

Indeed its awesome but the only bad part is that in SP, the Axis bots slaughter you with the flak, nebelwerfer and all their (rifle)grenades and kill you from unreal places. But anyways its good.I still enjoy playing on it:)

You wouldn't have any of Boulogne-sur-mer or Calais would you?

Target releases would be: When it's done first. This summer second. ...as I'd imagine. As for the other places, here are some photos, but I'm obviously not going to post all 1500 photos.:p Pegasus Bridge

I agree about the leaf, but my initial thought was a poplar variety, maybe even tulip? (native to US bur shipped to Europe in early 17th century) Any botanists?
And ditto Carentan as an amazing map. Simply a stupendous achievement.
Love the pics. I can easily relate most of the pics to the map. The farmhouse is particularly striking to me, and a I find it a little sad that the highway has gobbled part of it. But I can't figure out where on the map the warehouses now are - can you orient me?
