One thing about Peter Jackson is that the movie will get done right. He does things out of his passions. Interesting that he is interested in WWII stuff...

Looking forward to that too, i thank the lord that Uwe Boll isnt directing it. That guy is a menace to the movie and game industry.

On that pic from the BBC article, have Mr. Jackson lost like alot of weight...?

This new Dam Busters movie definetly sounds interesting! I just hope Jackson can do a good job producing a historic correct war movie...

Wonder if they are going to use the single airworthy example of the Lancaster in some scenes?

According to wikipedia he lost a large amount of weight (over 50 lbs/22.5 kg) to the point of being unrecognizable to some fans. According to the British Daily Telegraph he attributes his weight loss to a diet change. He said, "I just got tired of being overweight and unfit, so I changed my diet from hamburgers to yogurt and muesli and it seems to work." Regarding the use of the only flying Lancaster, This was what the New Zealand Herald had to say "Computer-generated visual effects and models will depict much of the mission and 10 replicas of the bombers." for the full story here is the link: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/search/story.cfm?storyid=000DDCD0-3AC7-14F7-9D3C83027AF10124

What will they do for the music though...?

New Zealand HeraldBut Dravitzki said at the time that Jackson's interest in planes from World Wars 1 and 2 was well known, and whenever an aviation movie from those eras came around, journalists assumed it would attract his attention.

:naughty:
