I thought this might be a neat idea for a thread. A place to post stuff you find out there, thats new and innovative in gaming. So here's my first item.. I found this artical on a new vest for gaming that lets the wearer "feel blows". Now this is cool, and would be awesome in an FPS for immersion. Not just for feeling thumps from being hit, but also the bumps and jars of driving in tanks and planes and other vehicles. Also thuds from explosions. Special vest lets players feel video game blows - Video Game Feature - Yahoo! Video Games I would buy one of these if it works for PC's, and if games support it! :D

waouw, why not a force feedback system with motors and jacks on your chair? eh eh or a periphal device diffusing cordite's and blood's scents :p Maybe soon... This bring a question : where the immersion should stop?

Ambx has finally launched... Ive been following this closely. amBX You know those TV's that throw whatever-color-they-are-displaying, onto the wall... Well they have been developing it into the gaming world. Colored lights that extend your monitor with blowing fans as well. Im not interested in it for gaming. I want the technology for another apllication. If anyone knows a better way, Im listening... I DJ on the weekends and am starting up a business of my own. I have many ideas for technological applications while playing music. The one thing I wanna do is use a Projector to display Winamp or other players visualizations that go bump to the music... you know. However. Id like to include this ambx technology that reads whats happening on the visualization to display the colors that are being produced.... from other lights on the sides of my rig so the whole thing is one beatmatched, color-coordinated show. Anyone?

Moose just assumes because you can think and express yourself clearly that you must be a "grown-up". ;)

I swear 44. Although I see that's RBS age. Like don't you have children stylie? And you always talk about the 60's like you were there.

LMAO!!!! There have been times in my life where I thought I was in the 60's but um no! I am 33. I got two little guys who are not my biologicals, but I swear they are taking after me more and more everyday. Im not a club dj, no no, much worse. I am the school dance/wedding/anniversary type DJ who gets the occasional swinger's party with all kinds of naked women and such. Maybe Im too old I dont know, but I work for a guy and get $45 an hour while doing it. Im looking to turn that $45 into $150 an hour, keeping in mind 20 hours in a month is a great month. It sounds like alot of money which it can be, but in the end, a just starting out DJ like I will be doing soon, wont see much dough for the first couple of years. Strictly word of mouth. And while it sounds cheesy... Its the only job Ive ever held that I actually like! The cool thing is my ideas that I have. The one way above is just a sliver of what I have in my head. I know my word-of-mouth will spread quickly once Im out. Like genius ideas that others scoff at... Like my current employer. No imagination.
