Hallellujah! Forgive me FHers, but I'm leaving for awhile it looks like. My first love, XWW2, calls. It comes at a good time, because I am fed up to the gills with 13 year old newbs that post 15 times a day to ask release dates for FH2 and 0.7, and engage in complete idiot spamming, only to have the mods encourage them, and scold curmudgeons like me that do not wish to encourage that 'tard behavior and say so. I know it's Off-top, maybe it's the summer, but we're losing this board to people who act, talk, think and write like children. I'm glad to take a break with XWW2 2.6.

I don't think us staff encourges people to spam, we aren t payed for what we do so why create more work for outselfs? :uhm: :p We are crackig down on those bloody release date threads, i locked a dozen or so as did my collegues ;). Yes i know a few topics have a couple of posts that can be considered a bit random but we are humans too, not machines who crack down every single word that is offtopic :p. but enough about this.

I've not seen any n00b threads for awhile now, there is a crack down on them from the FF staff :staff: and as for XWW2, the DL size is too big for me (2mb line) to casually DL this so I will wait for some reviews.

Uhh, I'm not interested at all now, didn't even bother to open their website, BF42 is getting boring, every mod feels same ( execpt FH ;) )' But I've never liked XWW2..

Gave it a shot in SP and it's ok. Some of the sounds are pretty cool (cept the M1) and the iron sights are still nifty, but textures and things like that don't look to great compared to FH. Gonna try some online play later.

I always found that it was the gameplay that counted in XWWII, not the graphics. I think they've done an excellent job with 2.5 adding in new countries and trying out different things and gameplay features, so I cant wait to get this 2.6 download finished.

Just the tank combat on some of the bigger levels is enough for me, some of their maps are very unique and fun to play, which is the bit that counts. I know I'll sound like a heretic, but I have more fun playing XWWII than FH sometimes. It's a breath of fresh air, and hey, they have an M3 Grant and a decent looking Panzer II and StuG IIIB, so it cant be that bad.

I advise people of thinking of downloading this mod, to do so now. Dont miss it just because of the file size, because you are missing out on an extremely fun mod. If you're a tank nut like me, then you will love it.
