Mr_CheeseI was just reading an article on the BBC website ("So you're Polish and want a job...") and it was telling about one guy who was a teacher in Poland and earned approx. £200 a month and then moved to England and now earns about £600 handing out leaflets/fliers for a money transfer company. It's crazy.
Yes, that's sad, but true. The average pay in poland is about 350-400 euros, so that's why many Poles search job outside Poland. For example 3 years ago I worked for a month on a summer job in the Netherlands and I've earned over 1000 Euros - more than my father earns! And I've worked in a warehouse, while my father owns a company selling medical equippement:rolleyes:
On the other hand living in Poland is cheaper - the food in stores is about 2 times cheaper than in spain, 4 times cheaper than in Italy and about 5 times cheaper than in Germany
BTW. For a month of handing leaflets in Poland you get no more than 600 Zloties, that is about £100 - so the salary in Britain to that earned in Poland is 6:1!
But everyone goes to Britain for money. I hear the pubs over there are basically run by New Zealanders, Aussie + Sth Africans. But the cost of living there is much higher than elsewhere as compared to mentioned countries or Poland. I think of New Zealand as a rich third-world country. Not in terms of wealth but for its natural attractions. Something that seems to always be prominant in developing nations

Interesting. But natural attractions are not unique to thrid world countries. So calling New Zealand a third world country is left to the National Party. Whingey bastards.
:lookaround: /me should be back in the Pub
I didn't make it!
masked_marsoe;3232305Auckland is the worst. Wellington or Christchurch are much better.
The rest... well, I don't want to spoil the fun of discovery. ;)
Auckland does not suck!
