I have played Kashan Desert on the PR public beta its a scale 4 map with a fogrange of 980 and a viewdistance of 1000, no lagg on a GF 7600GS with max settings including anti alias. This was with at least 40 players.
On a 1024 scale 2 map i takes rougly 20 seconds for a plane to cross the map on a scale 4 its at least the double, and i dont fancy plane maps where i have to turn constantly. This could also be used for tank battles like kursk and make some really epic battles where ISU 152's and Tigers battle it out on barely visible distance, may the best optics win ;)
Real-BadSeed;3788673 This also applies to air maps or naval maps, without increased viewdistance it will just mean alot more searching around in the fog kind of gameplay.
Team commander could have Radars in his use and then paint the positions of spotted enemy to minimap. The radar is just one to be discussed over then, what is it's range and accuracy and how big targets it should spot and from which altitude.:uhm:
I want that Fall of Gelb. :-*(
