Amazing Speech, he did everything he had to, and I hope he is the next president of my country.

This is the first event I've watched of the Democratic National Convention. To be honest, I haven't been caught in the Obama craze lately even though I am somewhat interested in his candidacy.

His speech tonight, however, was outstanding. Obviously all campaign speeches are lofty and high minded in their goals -- that's a given. That said, his speech was concise, aggressive, and eloquent. Say what you want about the man, but he is one hell of an orator.

Let's just hope that translates to action. I'm starting to like him more and more, because he's starting to grow some balls. (politically correct terminology of course)

The half I could stomach was not that bad. Man does a fine job reading from a prepared speech.

I can't stand to listen to Politicians spew garbage anymore. Haven't listened to a speech for a couple years now. Did he actually explain his platform yet or does his campaign continue to consist of "Changity change change change?" I mean seriously, are politicians incapable of elaborating about their plans?

All Americans here should do their country a favor, look up online as much info as you can about all the parties that are putting forward a candidate in their state, and make an informed decisions based on outside information you read about the candidate's actual track record and platform, not the gilded words they so easily throw about.

Oh Please, they'll do exactly the same thing for John McCain during his convention.

Half of you didn't even hear the speech, perhaps you should listen to it before judging him.

Barack Obama did exactly what people wanted him to do, Highlight what his presidency will be like, and fired back at McCain, it was a great speech, and I agree with him on many of the issues he discussed.
