YouTube - Steve Downie hit on Dean McAmmond Steve Downie... Looks like my teams got a little bit of a trouble maker.. a frickin ROOKIE... in PRE-SEASON!!! OMG, After his suspension from an obvious charging infraction... He'll get what he's looking for... god-speed to you my man!!! Aside from this guy, I really excited to see what the Broad Street Bullies will have in store. Briere, Biron and a revamped defensive core, Im looking for better things from the Fly-guys. Hell Holmgren keeps getting visits from Forsberg!!! Maybe even have a shot to resign him at some point, hey, after the worst season in the history of the Philadelphia Flyers... Things can only get better. Whats going on with your teams? Coke? RBS? Komrad? get back in here!!!

If you're going to make this, you're going to force me to make a 07/08 soccer thread.

You'll like Downie. Was a great player for the Team Canada Junior teams that have dominated the world for the last few years.

Edit : Don't underestimate the Devils this year. Their new coach Brent Sutter, of the famous Sutter family, comes in with an absolutely stellar minor & junior leagues record. He always has his players ready to go. Most recently his teams went 19-0-1 in three straight junior tournaments featuring the very best of the best of young up-and-coming players. Hopefully he can make the jump to the big show.

Another wild adventure ride which is a Canuck season. Sigh, I have no tickets to any of the games this year. (As usual, the season sold out in a few hours.) :bawl: My dad and I had lunch yesterday, we were tossing around the idea of buying some on E-Bay, but it is sooo expensive. Still should be exciting. With Luongo in net, we always have a shot at every game. When our scoring lines are scoring, then we are unstoppable. Calgary has put Keenan behind the bench and that should demoralize one of our chief rivals.

Canadiens didn't sign any of the "star" free agent they promised us (damn you Philly =p ), but at least they replaced pylon Souray by seemingly decent Hamrlik, and Smolinski should help us too. Overall tho, the off season was nothing to be impressed by. I'm excited about young players like Chris Higgins, Thomas Plekanec, Mike Komisarek and Andrei Kostitsyn tho, they are all due to have breakout seasons this year. Huet will probably stay solid, and if (or rather, when) he gets injured, young Carey Price is going to surprise many people. I'm really optimistic about the young players of this organization, Timmins is going to repeat his exploits with Ottawa here.

Of course I sure don't expect them to win Stanley this year, but they'll make the playoffs. I'd like to believe they have enough pride not to miss them two years in a row.

Hockey pre-season games > Baseball playoffs

Leafs are starting off a tad slow but I'm confident they'll pick it up.

A little off-topic, Mike Myers is filming a new movie called tThe Love Guru and the Leafs make a rather prominent appearance in it
