cough cough, bump bump... no Habs fans want to mix it up? Or are you busy picking golf courses?!? :cya: Flyers handily defeat the Montreal Canadiens in 5 games... Im talking HANDILY!!! HANDILY I say!!! No Braun? No Komrad_B? WTH?! Is this now my own hockey blog? No Stars or Red Wings Fans in the house?! I know there used to be a Penguins fan in here, name is escaping me but there is one. And you need to get in here and stop framing pictures of Cindy C... Helllo Hockey fans is there any one here?!?!
I would post more but me being a hockey newb I'm not sure what to post. Been rooting for the Red Wings and Flyers in the playoffs though...so far so good. :) Beware The Mule!
alright, I can work with that... Id love to meet up with Detroit in the finals to avenge the "Great Sweep of '97" But that team eats people for breakfast... Plus we'll have our hands full playing the divers in Pittsburgh, oh and of course we'll also have the officials to deal with who always seem to favor their little golden boy sidney crosby... Its ok though, I think we'll do well and it should be a good matchup, plus how can a team be thiiiiiis douchey??? The hockey gods will look at this and shake their heads in disapproval...
I stayed up until 1:30am the other night watching the 6 hour 4OT marathon game where my Stars disposed of the Sharks. It was one of the greatest games I've seen. The goaltending was unreal, reminded me of the game the Av's won the cup on 5-6 years ago in multiple overtimes, when Roy was so good. By the end they were so tired neither team could make 3 passes in a row without turning the puck over. Sometimes the puck would be sent into the zone and sit there for 5 seconds waiting for someone to catch up to it.
Those games are riveting though... Probably 10-15 second shifts!!! Id love a Dallas Philly matchup we should have had you guys in 2000 if it werent for our 3-1 collapse against Jersey.... still pissed off about that.
I don't think there is anything in sports as rivetting as overtime playoff hockey. The game can end any second, and yet it can go on for hours. I remember a few years ago during playoff season I drove home from work listening to the Stars playing a game on the radio in my car. When I woke up the next morning and got in my car they were still doing the post-game wrapup!
