I was pissed with the England and Paraguay game. Both sides played horribly. Maybe if they passed more to their own team..... Was Owen non-exsistent in that game?

Agent_0rangeEngland offensive tactics are inherently flawed. We put far too much faith in the Crouchbot because he scored a hatrick against a sub par team (Jamaica), so he's obviously wtfpwnage and can be left up front by himself. England still insist on doing this "Lets cross it in and hope some prat heads it in". Most of the time the CrouchBot is the only England player in the box, outnumbered heavily. Now what the hell is that about? Is he that good that he can beat the entire defence by himself?

I watched the Argentina/Ivory Coast game yesterday evening, and it was a fantastic game, both sides played extremely well. It was a much better match to watch than the England game. The attacks by either side were varied and skill full. Argentina seem to excel at exploiting opportunities the opposition miss. Once again England have little hope of actually winning. It really is a shame we lack heavily up front, and the hard workers such as Joe Cole or Lampard who have been playing extremely well will be let down by an ineffective set of strikers. I was very surprised with Owen, I've yet to see him do something tangible. This Theo Wallcott better come on and be the long lost bastard son of Pelé or something.

On topic a bit more, the Sweden/Trinidad game was very good to watch and it was a shame that Sweden didn't manage to score with all the chances they had courtesy of Ibrahimovic. A good match to watch nevertheless, Trinidad played their hearts out and did well, kudos to them.

Argentina vs Ivory Coast was indeed a good match. Though they should have gotten that goal earlier on, the ball did cross the line. An exiting show was put on by both teams like you said.

Ah Mexico vs Iran was also an exiting match. Iran played a good first half and missed some good chances. However, Mexico was a whole new team the second half and played well even with Iran having a dramatic hieght advantage. They took advantage of the GK mistake and made the Iranians pay for it. The header by Zinha was spectacular (keep in mind he is a short little dude 1.63,shorter than me even).

I expect Angola to and Portugal to be a good matchup since it always seems that countries from the African continent always seem to be chalked full of suprises and put up good shows.

Congratulations Aussies! Didn't see that one coming. Not a very interesting game until the last 6 minutes when it became very interesting. Don't think the Japanese even knew what hit them. All I can say is "Put another shrimp on the barbie, mate!"

Czech Republic were great today, two former Dortmund (:D) players doing the business, shame Koller had to go off early but at least he could be back if they make it to the knock outs.

A 33 year old Nedved bullied the Americans into submission.
