This just in, 2nd Company, 2nd Fallschirmjaeger has been called upon to travel north, to meet a British airborne attack around Arnhem, and to bring any scattered units from the broken 21st Panzer alone the way. We have been ordered to join with the 1st Airborne Army, General der Fallschirmjaeger Kurt Student commanding, and break the british resistence! We must stop them from taking the bridge, at all costs!

I'm heading off to a reenactment in Fort Ord, California, for a bit of true city combat. Yes, city combat= smashing down walls, windows, tanks running through buildings, etc.... We were given a section of old Fort Ord (its shut down as of the 1980s) and are allowed to do whatever we want to it. Fun eh? I'll see you all on Monday, and I'll be sure to get pics and vids.

Haha, I'll be the naughty Dutch civilian who's telling the British where you're hiding. :naughty:

On another note: The parachute jumps are re-enacted every year here in Holland. (Except last year.) This year six veterans will also be jumping. The youngest one is 81 and the oldest 86. Respect for those guys.

Also: The 2nd Fallschirmjäger didn't historically fight in Market Garden, did they?

Sounds like fun. My unit is doing another epic battle next week in Ohio, the Dday landings. Our unit commander is also the overall commander for this event (he plays a Heer Major for this event, we are normall Waffen SS - the rest of us just do not wear camo but our runes are too small to be seen by the public so we do not need to dress up as Heer or anything)

They use actual US Navy landing craft. Should be a blast!

Naughty naughty, mind if I join in?

Those veterans surely are crazy (but in a good way). Must have been a huge pity for them they couldn't jump last year while every year might be the last...
