Also, I'd like to propose that this thread would be renamed to "Picture of the Week" so everyone would have time to look through all the pics and the thread wouldnt grow out of proportions so fast. Sire_Apple could perhaps keep the thread in order by writing a post each monday saying "Week ##" and starting a new cycle of pictures. And so the thread wouldnt become just another picture gallery, how about posting pics only you know background about? Would give some interesting read!
Yea, I like that idea. So like next Saturday I could start a new thread. It would balance it out more, and make it more enjoyable.
Polish Sherman and German Puma which blasted each other at point-blank range during the sealing of the Falaise Gap, France 1944.
Thats a puma on the right? Looks a lot like a Crusader.
Here's my contribution for the week...
Some British troops scoping out a street while fighting on Crete.

[quote='[WDW]Megaraptor;4589516']With a long barreled 75 and 4 wheels on each side?
I suppose its a Puma. I don't know though. It just looks like a Crusader. Perhaps the tread and some wheels were knocked off the side and is laying in the bushes or something, or under the tank.
I'm bumping this for J_Fin.

The site I got it off of said it was Crete... perhaps the retaking of Crete... there's a good chance they would have had the new rifles by then right?

I'm pretty sure Crete wasn't re-taken until after the German surrender...

Ugh. Ignore my late night stupidity. I'm thinking Sicily, not Crete. There's always a possibility it's from SICILY.
But anyway, now that I look at it, that picture kinda looks like its straight out of a cheesy 50's movie...
