So, as you say its a game, and if no one can move it gets boring. So tone down the guns,... fine.

But bogus fake effects arent enjoyable either.

I dont like the effect either, but can you come up with a beter 1 to simulate getting critically wounded in a game made by EA.

actully if i remember correct Red orchestra uses somewhat the same effect.. a game know for it's realisme. you may not like it, but i think you can be sure of, this effect being in FH2 in some way or the other.

this effect is not in RO

@hawk again i will say,... this isnt the effect of being actually wounded, this is the effect of having bullets fly close by and blurring your vision. Even though the bullets completely miss they still blurr your vision, supposedly simulating fear.

@lebowski and where do you get the info that this will be in fh2? or are you just being obtuse and a smartass? I dont see dev beside your name.

jezz, your a little touchy aint ya..

no im not a dev.. but im not blind though. when looking at a vip Fh2 vid showing the exact effect we are talking about, you would think you would realize the devs probely intent implementing this effect into their game.

and RO the game does have a "blur" effect when a bullet wiz by you or hit near you. not to the extent of PRMM but you gotta remember they are using a bf2 effect.

I think they said they toned that down a bit since the build shown on the wip vids so it probably won't be as annoying as in other mods/games but still realistic.

Hawk_345;3372892yes, but you have to see that its still only a game, if you get killed evry 2 seconds no 1 will play it, yes its not totally realistic but its the most realistic way of "fear" being put in without turning it into a boring game where you cant move or do anything because you dont want to die and wait 30 secs, it needs to be enjoyable so people will play, and as for bullets wizing by and you get blured vision, that has never hapened to me.

Also remember that there were alot of things that need to be fixed so wait for the patch and see what happens.

People die every 2 seconds because they play the game in such a way that they get killed every 2 seconds.

Kinda reminds me of a lan we had playing DoD. The quake guys were pissed because we constantly were cleaning their a$$es and complained that the game sucks because you could not bunny-jump and that one guy could not kill everyone on spot and that we camped (meaning we did not run and jump around like kobolds on coke).

Don't blame the game for stupid players.

I see RBS' point though. Why all of the simulation, its unnecessary. And effective surpressing fire is the pwn! It always bothers me when people get upset about things like surpressing fire and camping. IRL that would be exactly how it would go down. And how freaking cool is it to outwit an opponent and get out of the situation and reverse it. This is the EXACT reason I play these games.

As a matter of fact, it is. It's also way stronger than in PR. Personally I find it one of the best inventions in a while in the game industry. It actually works for the effect of suppression and therefore enforces more realistic gameplay and adds to the intension in the game.
