Sony Computer Entertainment America Announces New 40GB Playstation(R)3 (PS3(TM)) Configuration and Price Reduction Of Current 80GB Model= I think my xbox 360's days are numbered... the 3 return trips to the manufacturer didnt help.
I need it to drop a couple more hundred, then I'll consider.
I think it's worth it when you consider the price for blue-ray players and of course if you have all the equipment.
Except that it will no longer be capable of playing PS2 games which is reason enough for me not to buy one.
I still want to play the Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger and Kingdom Hearts games.
It can't play ps2 games? What the fuck!? THat would be like half the reason to get one, I love my FFX and all the tony hawks and old MGS.
Meh, only game that I'd want is Grand Tourismo 4 and thay're coming out with one that works in 1080p, and 720p also I believe.
I never liked consoles, I probably never will, PC's and laptops are way more polyvalent, and the mouse-keyboard playing style is way easier. I never saw what was so cool about consoles, except that you don't have to "install" games.
lol, now that you mentioned it, you should have seen me playing grand theft auto san andreas, I think that's the one(It's not my PS2...). There's a level where you have to shoot down radio controlled planes by using the touch pad/mini-joystick and well, let's just say I didn't come close to beating it. If you gave me a mouse though... But that's the thing with consoles as well, they change the controllers too much if you don't own one so that if you pick up a new one it's kind of a bitch to get used to.
I already have the 360. While the games are cool, Im not crazy about console gaming either. Having never owned a PS The backwards compatablity doesnt matter. What does is the blu-ray and the fact that most of my friends already have one and are busy with the good times... I would only buy one if I got enough for my 360.
I'm waiting for some good games to come out before I purchase one.
