I suppose I should probably watch Quantum before I criticise ... but frankly I don't want to. Where are the Pussy Galores going ? The Brit Carry On jokes, the wisecracks and the FUN. All this realpolitik crap .. I get enough of that in real life ... I don't want to spend an hour and half watching a film about it !

Clive James makes the point ...

I don't know about you guys, but I rather liked Casino Royale. I felt it was a much more solid movie than any recent Bond flick I've seen. Sure it's different than the good older ones with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, but it's WAY better than the Pierce Brosman ones. The end of Casino Royal captured the essence of Bond for me, while simultaneously explaining so much of his character.

Anyways, I will reserve judgement on this one till after I see it.

Solace is going to rock. Just like Casino Royale. People who whine about Craig not being a real Bond should know better, his acting is great and it's something new. A refreshment.

I have no problem with Craig's acting. I watched Casino Royale and enjoyed it. I just lament the temporary (?) move away from the naked (!?) misogyny of classic Bond to this ultra serious rubbish (sorry) with it's multi million dollar product placements ... blah blah ... WHY SO SERIOUS !

(Note: Why if someone's opinion differs from yours is it "whining" ? )

Although the recent Bond movies are still worth your time and money to watch, it lacks the soul it just to have. I think it's lacking the fine and subtle British humour. Also the grace and charm that Roger More and Sean Connery have are unrivalled. And now stop your whining:D:p
