Meh, we don't put a big deal on that, I just wear normal boxers.... We don't tend to sleep with out trousers on anyways...when your sleeping in the field, you want as much warmth as possible.

Very bad news I'm afraid. When my dad heard about out he said it's unacceptable, I shouldn't glorify the war (not even if I went for a British costume. If I like uniforms I could join the Dutch Royal Army and see the horror. Telling him I knew all that and that's purely out of historical intrest had no luck. Would be a waste of my money etc. etc. (bringing up it's MY money also did not matter). My grandmother heard about it (she was in Indonisia during the war in a civilian camp) and she said she would remove me from my will if I would buy an uniform.

Buying just a cap german and/or british would be fine.

Buying a jacket with it (I guess I could sneak the pants in too using that cheap but good pack from Spearhead (that ebay shop)) might be acceptable but my dad isn't sure yet.

So I might try to get a german and british cap and and the german jacket (british one too would probably be too expensive again) , just two caps (british and german) or the german cap and jacket (+pants). I would miss the belt though, which would be a bit of a shame. The way to buy that (I have to use my dads creditcard) would be to ask somebody I know that has a creditcard to buy it, to meet, repay and thus sneak that in too and hide it away.

I'm dissapointed though. I have to keep this on hold untill I'm out of the house it seems. Bah. :(

Feel free to comment. I'm a very sad donut though. :bawl: Anybody has a link to a cool British infantery or tank cap?

Ouch. Parents sat their foot down. Would it have worked if you got to join a reenactment unit?

Oh, and maybe you should join the Royal Dutch Army!

Heh, yeah, parents are tough with WW2 German stuff. Took forever to get them to let me do Fallschirm, and they still aren't happy with it....:uhm:

That would make it worse if anything. :p

Can't find much about British stuff (not even sure if it's worth buying, atleat not when I need to order two caps from different sites... ) any suggestions to buy a good german M34 cap (infantery/panzer as on LB) and well.. dunno what the british have... would do nicely.

British sidecap looks dull and boring, almost all their headgear does. :(
