So, how many of you have interesting little reminders of your reckless behavior or unfortunate medical issues? I'm just starting to get a new scar, right next to/part of an old one on my temple. It's not *quite* a dueling scar, but I haven't attended the University of Heidelberg yet, so I suppose I'll have to be patient.

I've got a scar from getting my appendix out. Kind of a weird feeling waking up after anesthesia with a shaved patch on my belly and a healing gash... :\

What's the University of Heidelberg?

It's an old German university, and old German universities have/had fraternities that can be big on dueling/getting dueling scars.

Appendicitis-five from stylie. I lost mine when I was 5 years old, scar to boot. Interesting thing, Appendicitis is virtual non-existant in third-world countries. Yet 100-200 years ago it was the number 1 killer for the developed world. The reason? Toilets. In 3rd world they squat when taking a dump. This effectively squeezes the appendix shut and poop flows right past it. On a toilet, the appendix remains open and poop can get pushed in there where it can become infected. Alot of kids here push way too hard to poop and this hapens alot.

Stylie, I never knew you were a tight ass. My appendix scar grew perpendicular to the scalpel incision. Got stabbed through the face when I was a kid and now I have a child version that migrated upwards, while still retaining a new scar in the exact place where I was originally perforated. (makes me look bad ass) Severed a tendon in my hand (another fight) and now it turns blue when it's about to snow. Got knocked out once and split my eyebrow open and now I have 3 eyebrows (the split has extended across the entire left eyebrow and looks like I am permanently surprised or curious) Got shot twice (military pellet guns) and both scars in my leg and arse will turn white when I walk around too much. Got my nose broken (sports) and now I need to mangle glasses or sunglasses just so they will stay on my face. Got stabbed in the hand and now I am double jointed in one hand. (it's great for drumming with a modified German tympani grip) man, after reading all of this, I need a hug, an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon, and many more of these  But you guys still love me right? lol

Forehead: My parents let me out of the carriage when I was around 18 months old and I unsuccessfully attempted to climb up a shelf of underwear. The whole shelf collapsed on top of me. Required stitches.

Pinkie: When I was seven I caught it in my jacket's zipper.

Thumb: When I was ten I cut my thumb open with a rusty hatchet. I treated it with a lot of tissues and Scotch tape.

Shin: When I was eleven I got mobbed by a group of kindergärtners who didn't know how to play tag. Required stitches.

Back: Last year slipped and fell on a chunk of ice in the drive way.

I love scars.

A couple of burn marks on my leg, a few scars on my forehead and a scar along the underside of my jaw. That and a collarbone that sticks up in a 90 degree angle, like this:
