Sad indeed, even though I never played it. @Al Capone, Steam, or rather the source engine, can't deliver what the bf engines can as far as I know. The only other option I know of would be from Garagegames, the Torque engine. Though that's very far away from what the devs would want as an end result. Positive side is that has great support, can be modified as far as you want and can be bought for $100. (and that's an actual, fully functioning game engine!)
The source engine can do pretty good with mods on the infantry side. Sadly RO showed that even with crazy realistic tanks, the source engine is still not all that fun with vehicles.

Euhm isn't/wasn't RO (Red Orchestra right ?) based on UT2004 ? Besides, that what I meant :) Sure they're a lot more modable but no other game delivers everything the bf series do, in a single package. Sorry for the off topic :lookaround:
Well im sure this will not affect Fh2, it was made for BF42 and is still going today with plenty of people, heck ther is still peolple playing stock Bf42. im sure Fh2 will be a succes and keep going. IT is after all the Best Ww2 mod for battlefield series.
This is definitely not encouraging to the BF series community, and will probably lower the morale of other mods. But as long as I get: BF1918 FH2 I'm happy!
Nah, I'm not worried for FH2 at all. The player base for FH1 is still thriving, and with the quality work and reputation FH has they will continue to have a place in the BF community for a long while to come.
