I didn't make it!
Hi guys, For those interested in SinglePlayer/AI aspect of BF2, please see my interview with Ben Smith of EA. http://www.planetbattlefield.com/battlefieldsingleplayer/
My only major concern raised by the interview is that the SP maps will be limited to 16 players, which IMO, is pretty crap, despite the much improved AI.
I just saw this over at bf1942 files also. I imagine I won't play any single player as I never did with any other BF series games but sounds good for those who do.
AI has been greatly improved, these guys can now handle 3d pathfinding, run away from granades (friendly and hostile) Bring you ammo/health when requested for. I guess the AI takes alot of cpu power.

silianSP maps will be limited to 16 players
It says modders can increase the number of bots in a SP map, but there aren't any guarantees on full AI intelligence over the 16 player limit. So it's not that bad for SP players, after all.
The worst news, aside from the fact that less than 30 percent of the maps are supported, is that DICE scrued COOP over for Singleplayer. Now, say what you will, but Singleplayer is absolutely useless. Coop does everything singleplayer does, PLUS makes small Lan parties of ten people or less FUN. There was no point in making SP - they should have just focused on coop. But nooooo.......

Actually 10 out of the 12 maps will feature Single Player in their 16 player versions.
2. How many SP maps will ship with the full version game? Can you comment on which ones?
"The 16-player version of all Battlefield 2 maps except Kubra Dam and Mashtuur City will be available in the singleplayer Training game mode when the game ships. In total, there will be ten different maps to play against the AI on. There are also three different difficulty settings for Training that users can choose from."
