general rammelLOL thx, I know General Rommel was taken. Yes my avatar is cute. If you want a full sized pic just PM me.

The thing is, "rammeln" in German is fairly crude slang for "to bang", "to roger", you get the idea.

I thought it a pretty clever play on words, until I saw the "Michigan" thing.

Anyway, the way to deal with baby smartasses is just to smile knowingly and walk away shaking your head. They hate that.

And @Kading: I <3 you, but war was not declared for either the Austrian or Czech Anschluss. So it doesn't count as WWII.

If there's one thing I hate it's people saying 'The P-51 Mustang won World War II' and rant about how great it was. Speed, range. That's about it. Hellcats are cooler. Anyway, it's the pilot, not the plane. Oh yeah, and someone was telling me that I should STFU the other day I didn't know what I was talking about, they reckoned the Zero had tons of armour plating. Yeah, sure... I hate not-so-know-it-alls

Impressive, I doubt they could possibly be more wrong...

All of this reminds me of an argument I had with my international politics teacher last year. He started rambling about how Germany pwned Poland with "HUUUUGE tanks" while the Polish didn't even know what a tank was and used horses. Not to sound too much like a nerd, I didn't raise my hand but went to see him after class to tell him that Germany barely had "bigger" tanks than Poland, and that most of the german panzerdivisions were equiped with Panzer I and II at the time. He then of course said german tanks had high caliber guns and blablabla, to wich I answered Germany didn't even have a single 75mm high velocity gun equiped tank in service in poland, and that they had at most 37mm guns, 20mm autocannons or even nothing more than machineguns. I told him that on the other hand the Polish had a bunch of decent and modern tanks, yet he didn't seem to believe me on any of this. To make things worst, he said the proof of Polish backwardness was that they used horses and cavalry, to wich I answered that Germany, Russia, France, Italy, Japan, China and many, MANY other countries used horse mounted troops during most of the war, and that Germany being usually short on motorized vehicules used them a lot to carry things. Yet again, he didn't believe me... :uhm:

I also had to explain him the "polish cavalry charges german tanks" story is the fruit of axis propaganda ;)

This was no children, this was a zealous teacher who studied in University for a long time! I have way more merit than those who pwn their little brother's chums ;)

What about your other teacher who thought only one bomb was dropped on Japan, "then I suppose half of Japan blew up since the two cities are located so far from each other?", she shut her trap lol"

Tell your friend that the zero was so lightly armor plated that it was considered lightweight and that often it took very few shots to blow the plane up or completely decimate it and its pilot.

My first question was what was the pact that Stalin had signed with Hitler to prevent Hitler from attacking Russia? He said

The pact huh.. yeah...

I said, the Nazi Soviet Pact.

He then said that Bill attacked Russia, and I'm like WTF who is Bill???

Then I gave him another question, what was the first allied country to go down by Nazi Germany? He said

France, EEEEEEEEEEEEEE wrong, Poland smartie pants.

He was pronounces the Luger P08 the lUG-er and the Mosin Nagant the, Mozin nugent. Also the Mauser K98 the, Muser K98.

Lol. You sure pwnzor-rofled his ass.

I dont like people who think they can outsmart me when it comes to WW2.

I'm sure many of use can...;)

At some point that could be an advantage. I mean, if the bullet goes trough, whats the deal?

Of course the plane can catch fire, the engine can get screwed up, the wings could be cut apart from the plane, the pilot could be killed, the fuel tank could explode n' all... Other than that, whats so wrong about having a paper "armored" plane?

Ah yes, "her". The history teacher who made the impossible : she made me hate history for a year. She also believed that, in Soviet Russia, there was a camera in every room of every home and building... I wonder how many MILLIONS of Russians spent their days watching cameras then...

At least my international politics teacher knew his shit (politics... well, he didn't knew THAT much about it on second tought), now SHE had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE!

Well all the reasons you stated are pretty much whats wrong about having a paper armored plane, unless you were being sarcastic of course.:p

I *NEVER* am sarcastic!

If were to fly a plane in war, I'd wish it'd be as weakly armored as possible.

Because I don't need pansy pussy armor!
