Cant stand warcraft/starcraft micro-management type games. Its all about how fast with the mouse you are, and very little about tactics or strategy. The guy fastest on the mouse, and who builds fastest, wins.

That's true I just hope that the game has many more options in which to go this time concerning development. Starcraft 1 was pretty limited 2-4 levels of this which took 10 or more minutes. I hope that in this incarnation, you are not able to reach the top and that they keep on adding add-ons kind of like in real life. Whereas instead there are just slightly major upgrades which give you a marked advantage in the early parts then in later upgrades, they take longer and add not so much to your soldiers but give you some sort of advantage in a very specific field so that you have the option of playing the game in the old sense with tons of guys or having not as many but still enough special forces, so to speak, 1337 stuff...you know what I mean.:p

I installed Starcraft and the expansion Brood War today for old time sake, and its still pretty intense fun (even against comps). Tactics are definitely possible but things can fall apart pretty quick when un-invited guests show up (damn Protoss Carrier ;) ).

Still a great game after all these years.

I had to do the same and the way how computer zerged me after 5 mins of the game, I felt like back in school times when we used to play this on LAN like every day. "You wanna piece of me booooy?"

Loved the campaign mode, never enjoyed it as a PvP game though. Hope the Starcraft II will have bee worth the wait.
