MaximillianWeisemanni heard about NATO soldiers spotting a Panther engaged near Sarajevo during the 90's Balkan war...

Mostly because they were cheap, reliable tanks. A lot of Russian tanks served in armies of not so rich countries years and years after they got outdated. The Israelis used modified Shermans for a rather long time too.

Yep that game has M50 Super Shermans too.. But since there is a option to set realism, what differences are then?

T-34/85's, M24 Chaffee's, Shermans, M18 Hellcats are all still in service in smaller countries that dont have the money for the high tech items.

The Panthers 75mm L/70 gun was made after WW2 by the French and IIRC ammo is still readily available. The Isreali M50 Super Shermans also mounted the French version of the Panther's 75mm L/70 and IIRC the Isreali's still manufacturer ammo for the guns to sell to the countries they sold M50's to.

Yugoslavia kept a lot of WW2 vintage equipment in storage, they had T-34/85's, M18 Hellcats, M36/B1/B2 Jacksons (retrofitted with the engine from the T-55), M4A3E4 Shermans (the same as those used for filming Kelly's Heroes, which was filmed in Yugoslavia), they also kept a number of PaK 38 and PaK 40 Anti-Tank guns. Of course when the civil war broke out each side would use anything they could get their hands on. Heres a good source: http://web.inter.nl.net/users/spoelstra/g104/yu.htm
