Who has seen this movie?

It's about a Japanese research complex ( Unit 731 ) in Manchuria where they preformed all sorts of horrible tests on chinese and russian prisoners.

They would tie the prisoners up to poles in a field and set of explosives near by to test the results, they preformed autopshy's on live people, they injected disseases and things like oxegen or liquid nitrogen into the bloodstreams of people to see the results, even peel of skin from a woman's hands after her arms have been frozen with liquid nitrogen and more horrible experiments. A group of young soldiers has been attached to the complex and they see the horrors first hand untill it begins to effect them mentally as well.

The movie has been banned from several countries, due several scenes ( A real cat was used in the scene were a cat was eaten by 1000 hungry rats, footage of a real autopshy on a little boy was used in this film ) but is suppose to be available on dvd soon again.

I searched for the supposed ''gore'' clips myself on youtube and google yesterday, and found them to be less shocking then I thought. I recommend anyone wanting to see the horrors that were inflicted on people during World War II to watch this movie as it's totally different but just as horrible as the death camps in Europe.

For more info about this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093170/ Fore more info on the actual place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

I've seen it, one of the most tastless, sick and twisted movies about cruelty out there. This movie was seriously disturbing and the part with the retarded girl who gets her hands freezed (not by nitrogen) but by standing shackled in the freezing out doors while a guard pours water on her hands for hours is so twisted and cruel I still get upset thinking about it, and the mother and child who gets gassed together... Anyway I can't say I recomend it to anyone unless you enjoy watching pointless unbelievable cruelty.

So where are you going with this?, that we should just ignore and forget about those horrible experiments in the past because they are displayed as cruel in the movies as they were in real life?

I watched this movie to learn something I didn't know; how the Japanese used Russian and Chinese people for there sick experiments. And this later being some-what covered up or put ''aside on the agenda'' because Japan become one of America's post-war allies.

I don't so much care about movie violence - in fact, I've got a shelf full of violent DVD's of all sorts, from HK blood operas to zombie splatter flicks. However, what I'm really disgusted by is deliberate unnecessary violence towards defenceless animals, especially for the profit of entertainment industry. However, one can hardly call this movie entertaining. I'm not against hunting, I'd rather have the moose sitting on plate cooked than on my lap from running into one 120km/h on a motorway, but ending life for profit instead of food, it totally wrong.

If it wasn't for the cat and pidgeon scenes, the movie would have some educational and historical value, but those scenes really make it out to be nothing but another japanese shock movie.

O ya, When China invades Taiwan, then they will also invade Japan. When that happens than N. Korea invades S. Korea and before you know it we are fighting on three fronts.
