I'm shipping off to the Russian Front now in less then an hour, the Carpathian Mountains to be exact, to help our comrades fight off the bolshevik swine in the area of Dukla Pass, in Slovakia. Wish us luck!:cya: (in case you wanna know, here's my unit's website: http://www.fjr2.net/)

Nice site, some very good pics, I don't suppose this is the same FGR2 that were camped next to 15 Kompanie Der Fuehrer at Beltring was it?

I'm back. I'll write up a more detailed report tomorrow, but the main highlights are these: The first 2 days of digging, we completed 4 heavy roadblocks, 13 bunkers, 1 heavy MG bunker, and 3 slit trenchs The first day's fighting was a complete success, with our collapsing defense tactics sucking them into our pre-planned killing field of the crossfire of 2 MG34, a MG42, 5-6 MP40s, and 30 riflemen. The 2nd day was more intense, me and my friend Sam from 12th SS, through a carefully planned ambush, wiped out the entire left wing of the Soviet advance, about 15 men/women, with nothing more then one grenade, and our two rifles. Upon the fallback to our killing fields, and being down to only 1 MG34 (the other MG34 was jammed tight, and the MG42 is gas gun...and was out of gas) we held against mortar fire, and 3 enemy Rodina charges. The first 2 failed, and the 3rd almost made it, with me having to bayonet 4 russians in order to defend our part of the trench line, while Sam knifed one, and bashed another with his helmet The final charge, against which us remaining germans knew we couldn't hold, was met with us tossing all 15 or so of our grenades into the charge, before plunging head on in. I came face to face with the Russian Leitnant, Igor, and killed him with a hit to the face with one remaining grenade, that I kept as a club. After vicious hand to hand fighting, all Russians were KIA.

How exactly do you "kill" someone in reenactment? Like kids playing with toy guns; "Bang, you're dead"?
