It is my conclusion that some people are just looking for a thread to join just for the sake of flamming its starter(i.e "When will the Berlin Wall Fall") It was supposed to be a joke where people actually went along with it but it was locked in a record 20 mins-hence i shouldnt have to tell people to go along with it because it wouldn't be genuine but 13 of you "flammers" put down That it would never fall Good Job
And this is news? Some people like to start flamewars.. so they can use the feedback to get off on.
This probably is best in the Melee.
well. As MSN (or other chatting programs) jokes arent always very easy to look through. Unless you use some kind of smiley or such, most guys will actually belive that you are serious. Its not like we can see your face or hear your voice when you tell your "joke".
I like forums. They're just fun places to be.
So, what is this suppose to accomplish?
I think its to make us understand that people like to flame. But in my opinion, the very first online chats already demonstrated this I bet.

This need not proceed into an arguement itself. And if it does, it will be done for.
For the most part, the flamers that we have around here take it to the Melee when they have a real issue of frusteration that they need to rant about. Most people are not looking for a fight, if that is what you are thinking.
Another type of forum member is the admin they go crazy locking and deleting threads just cuz they cant take a joke (there used to be two unlocked "dont you hate people who double post"threads)

Generally it's the posters fault their thread gets locked/trashed. Usually they're too stupid to realize it's: 1) In the wrong place. 2) Inappropriate. 3) Completely retarded. 4) Lost all value due to flaming or other inappropriate uses. And you're going to want to watch how you address the admins/mods. As you said... they can't take a joke.
