It's ok - I'm not planning to :) 1.jpg

Channel 4 here in the UK has made a mock documentary exploring the effects of the War on Terror on the US. It includes the assassination of President Bush by a sniper at an anti-war rally in Chicago in 2007 and the subsequent investigation. Apparently some folks in the US aren't too happy about it:

I find this shocking, I find it disturbing. I don't know if there are many people in America who would want to watch something like that.

The BBC news article on the subject: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/5302598.stm?ls

Cool, sounds interesting, but is it kind of a 'what if...' type documentary?

Sounds like it. The BBC have done a few good ones here - the effects of a smallpox attack in London, what might happen if Britain's road system fails... stuff like that. All really well done with proper "news reports" and commentary as if it was/had really happened.

Intresting though most of the time dramatized these kinds of documentarie s are nice. You will never be able to accuractly tell what will happen unless it actually would happen but blalalabla -I doubt I need to explain all that about not bein able to predict the future in every detail etc.? :p -

The greater reality is that terrorism still exists in our world. It is obvious that the war on terror is not over.

 Lol, um it never will be over.

Didn't they renamed the "war on terror" the "long war" now? Sooner or later they will have to rename it in "the endless war" and then "continues protection campaigns for national and international safety due to never ending terrorism".

So you are suggesting we should just give in for the terrorists, Dönitz?

I'm sure the Cold War seemed like the 'endless war' for a long time. Just because we can't forsee an end doesn't mean it can't happen
