I brought BF1942 when it first came out. In 2005 my disc 1 was so scratched it refused to work. Today I picked my BF1942 disc 2 off the ground (it had fell and I'am careless with discs.). I put it in my computer and double clicked on the "FH" icon. As the splash screen came up my breath jumped and a message read "Error: disc not found, please insert correct disc and restart the application". This happened to my disc 1 and now I have no official copy of BF1942. I expect sympathy cards people....... :( To make matters worse the only place to order isn't open till tomorrow. OMG my life is done! I might go fly a kite, enjoy real life and talk to family and loved ones, I wonder if I still have a girl friend.

you legally own a copy and cd key so use a no cd exe , then you dont need to have any original cds , download copies of the install cds just to reinstall the games after a format.

I suggested this before but my post got deleted for some reason...

Ive used it many times, I have a laptop and desktop and I used whatever I had handy. I use BF42 disk 2 in my desktop at home and Secret weapons "on the road". FH is strictly on your HD anyway...

Try washing the discs with some dish soap and warm water, then carefully dry them with a soft towel. Dont rub, pat dry. Ive salvaged dozens of discs this way, many times its not the scratch thats the problem, but the dirt/finger grease caught in the scratch!
