Who is getting it, gotten it, want to get it, want to pee on it? I got my 360 last week. Everyone Ive talked to that bought the wii is raving about it. I dont think this thing is your standard gaming console, its something else. I am told it is very social and old people are laughing and playing it with young people. I am always intrigued about playing Zelda again. The idea of the whole family getting together in the living room and laughing and playing together coupled with the physical activity is really appealing to me. Sounds alot better then everyone going to different rooms to watch/play what they want. Discuss. :wtm:
I am getting it on 8 December when it gets released here, I am going to buy it on the day it gets released along with a extra controller, Call of Duty 3, Zelda, Classic Controller and some kind of USB-To-Lan thingy to get my Wii online.
Yeah, Im lookin forward to gettin me a wii. CoD3 is lookin pretty cool and of course Zelda. Wonder if they are commin out with a gun for the thing

Hmmm Getting drunk and play Call of Dutty 3 at Polska's place? You stil promised me a bottle of vodka? Rawr!:naughty:
I should be getting it on the 8th, althogh will only be getting zelda, im on a kinda limited budget at the moment.
Im not getting it, i just dont really like it all that much comapred to the PS3, im not saying its bad its just i feel that people will get sick of it after a while swinging their arms all oever the place controling the gun/sword, just not what i want to do, rather be relaxed when playing a game then up moving my arms, now i know PS3 is way more expensive but i think its worth it for all of its features and the graphics are beter, but im still not getting either for a long time seeing PS3 is expenssive and i dont want a wii.
It does not look very appealing to me. The graphics are not up to par with even two, three year old PC games - looks like shit, for the lack of better words. The games look like something a nine-year old would love (WTF IS THIS?), with few exceptions like the Resident Evil series.
Few good things that come to mind about it, are the supposedly innovative and working controllers, as well as backwards compatibility with older Nintendo games, and possibility to even play the NES classics. Unlike with PS3 and XBox, you also don't need a 40" LCD-TV to fully unleash the consoles potential.
However, I'm a PC-player and could really care less about any of these consoles as of now. Maybe when I someday can afford a 40" LCD-TV and the price on the PS3 has dropped a couple of hundred euros, I might consider buying one.
The day a console can be as adapable as a PC is the day I buy one.
Or the day they stop making consoles/unupgradeable PCs and concentrate on bringing some of their features into the pc world. The PS3's graphics have already been outdated by 8800 cards before its' release ohh pwn on you SONY. I say DEATH TO THE CONSOLE!
I used to play console games pretty much. After PS2 came out I got tired of it and did not buy anything. I have to say that Wii is the first console till then that makes me think about spending some money again.
