Finland and Canada are in final. Who will win? I think Finland will beat Canada 3-1. :p Or do you even watch World cup hockey?

I'd say Finland, too, but that's just because I'm Finn... But I'm quite sure that Canada will win.

Well no shit Canada will win. Not even Kipper can hold off all the offensive power on the Canadian team. Personally, I am looking forward to an Iginla breakaway vs Kiprusoff.

Why is it unfair to play in Canada? They won the toss!

Anyways yeah Kiprusoff is the man, I will not argue with you there. 8)

I don't really watch world cup hockey. I'm all about the NHL and Olympic hockey, which is essentially World Cup hockey. Canada will bend finland over.

Canada has a lot going for them like being the better team on paper, home ice advantage, and of course Mario. They've got about a 29-4-4 record over the last few years in international play. Canada is also undefeated (all time, I believe) in international hockey games played in Toronto. But I still wouldn't give either team better than a 50-50 chance of winning. You never know what'll happen in a gold medal game.

Anyone remember when it was called the Canada Cup?

1987, possibly the greatest momment in hockey history. Canada vs the Soviet Union, with the Soviets giving out penalties left, right, and center for no arrarent reason. Much like the last winter Olympics when the US refs kept giving the Women's team penalties.

Mind you the outcome was the same in both.
