I must say, as good as the beta was, the retail version is even better. Easily the best PC game I've purchased in the last 5 years. Best Cold War game since Operation: Flashpoint. On par with Star Craft for a RTS, but more intense action-wise. I highly recommend it to anyone who is the least bit interested.

I liked it alot for its graphics and how it all worked, but i found it gave out too much stuff, too quickly. So for me, it was to much a case of buy and send into the spamfest. And he who could buy and send, fastest, wins. If it was more strategic, and stuff more scarse, it would be a billion times better imo. As is, you just buy new, and its delivered in 30 seconds.. Still its not bad for what it is, but its too micro-management'ish for my liking :D I like CoH, best RTS ive played in a long time.

CoH was a great RTS too (best WWII RTS by far), but I've just been getting a little jaded over the WWII genre. Plus WiC is the closest real-time game to Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising (my fav Clancy novel), and indeed Larry Bond wrote or consulted much of the plot for this game. Also, I hate resource management, I just want to get into the thick of the action, which WiC does superbly.
