Sure, it has a good blend of technology, terrain that allows for concealment and sniper wars, artillery and mortars can still be effective, and helicopters and slow jets work really well in it.

It is normally spelled "Nay", although I suppose you could spell it "Nae". You'd just have to be ok with being wrong, though=p

I voted no. It's just about the same infantry weapons going against each other (Ak-47 vs. Ak-47) with one side having a good airforce and armor force. The Afghaniis fought a guerilla war, and a total gurilla war in BF2 wouldn't translate well in my mind.

No. Lame scenario. Hit-and-run rocket attacks, major overwhelming firepower with nothing tangible to shoot at, main "engagements" against civilian targets, terrible idea.

I don't think pure guerilla wars are too good for online games. The element of surprise cannot compensate for overwhelming fire power of the other side, so it would be very difficult to make a balanced maps. Not all wars make for good games, anyways. A coalition vs. talibans mod would be boring too for the same reasons.

I guess it depends on whether you like what EOD2 did with its Guerilla warfare. I think it could be pulled off. Why I'm yay, Its a mix of Vietnam (pointless, bloody warfare; Afghanistan is called the Soviet Vietnam) and Desert Storm; You have multiple sides besides the Basic Soviet vs. Afghanistan that could be included in later releases; and, there would be a cool mod name (Red Sands, Crimson Storm, etc.)
