Cant really give a opinion about XWW2 because from what I am seeing all the screenshots seem to be made in low quality BF2, so you don't know how good looking they will be in High Quality BF2.

I wouldn't be so smug about xww2 asking for votes: IIRC, FH has done this too, no? That's not a sign of weakness, although running down another mod is, IMO.

Neither would I be smug about the obvious overwhelming superiority of FH over xww2: it's not so obvious. There are some things xww2 did (at least in BF1942 mod) that no one has matched. The oily smoke and flame effects from burning vehicles looked 3D, and are the most realistic I've ever seen anywhere. Also, 1) their big tank guns and AT guns gave a striking sense of high velocity, flat trajectory and true explosive power; 2) they've had workable iron sights for years; 3) their tank guns had splash which approximates HE against personnel; 4) somehow their AI on SP was better than vanilla or FH (how the heck did they tweak that?) 5) interesting and well-crafted maps 6) interesting load out combos for various classes 7) at least in the BF42 version, shooting a firearm "felt" closer to RL shooting than in any other mod.

FH, IMO, is overall more complete. It has far more models and choices, with the best skins and texture. The dev team seems fairly large, committed and energetic. And there are many maps.

What I see so far for xww2 for BF2, is that the models look "flat", with no texture, and there are few servers. We shall see how it progresses. But rest assured, when xww2, as well as BattleGroup42, finish their work on BF2, I will try them, as will hundreds of FHers. And don't be surprised if their work is very, very good. So I think we'd better stop with the trashing. *edit*[I] Oh, and I'd add this: in the BF2 models xww2 seems to have done a good job at portraying a very bright desert environment, with a lot of sunlight. IMO, sunlight, or brigthness in general, is not one of FH's strong points.

It would be neat if BattleGroup 42, FH, and XWW2 all teamed up to make one WW2 mod for BF2. That would be the best danm game EVER made.

I think they'd end up flying to each other's homes and stabbing one another.

NoCoolOnesLeftMost FH'ers dont hate XWWII. I love XWWII, but there's always something keeping me from joining their community. Some of 'em can be really hostile over there.

There are FH'ers that do hate XWWII, but it's not because of the gameplay. FH and XWWII have had small scuffs in the past with each other.

ya i dont hate xww2 at all, i used to play it Almost as much as fh when people actually played it, but looking at these models that they are coming up with is making me like fh2 ever more :uhm:

I just downloaded Xww2.. and beside the fact there were no servers at all with the mod, I just did not like it very much.

Closing this because I know how it finishes always.

1. I don't see problem in that mail, you have registered in the XWW2 forum, no?, well, they can send you news and other kind of information.

2. If some day in the future you learn to coment with respect the work of other WW2 mods we will be able to keep alive these threads. Constructive criticism is welcomed, if you don't like the work of other mod just don't post

3. This is like Sicilian vendettas, you told this, he told that, your cousin killed the cow of my aunt, now I kill the sister of your cousin, and 50 years later nobody remembers the reason of the fight
