The scoreboard was fine for vanilla bf, but too old already. IMO it shouldn't exist since it's the opposite of teamplay. Devs won't take it out for the simple reason that people will start whining, but everyone deeply knows that it would greately encourage teamplay. Just think about actual priorities: score, round wining, teamplay. In tournaments it's exactly the opposite: teamplay (if you don't you just get kicked), victory and finally score.

what do the devs say about about my suggestions ? - no hit indicator for deadly shots - more points fore killing tanks and aircrafts

I don't find the exact posts, but I think both ideas are mentioned by devs. The hit indicator had something to do with the netcode. The code is improved in BF2 and hit indicators could be removed.

Well look at it this way, POE2 is alos having scores along with mostly every mod, without them, people will whine and say im not playing if i dont know score and then go to other mods with scores. Scores are a, problem but its the way games work, without scores its not really a game anymore is it, but it cause all those scorewhores to ruin the game sometimes, there is no ture way on how to fix this so we will be stuck with scores i think.

It's nice to know the amount of kills you have, not always for bragging but just for like, cool I shot this many people.

Either way, think of it, if you take out scoresystems, you also partly kill teamplay. Some players just heal/revive/give ammo in vanilla BF2 because it gives score.

I say get rid of all hit indicators like pprm has, its great for realism! I think we need a new score system, rather than no system, where you get points for things other than kills. You should get no points for kills or deaths at all. But like eglaerinion said, you should get points for capping, and even more for defending, and doubled points for winning, also points for supporting. Those are great ideas!, and promote teamplay and winning. I say good riddance to score-ho's, who only play for their k/d ratios. blasted bftracks can die!!! As for team switching, bf2 has a nice built in autobalance feature that wont allow you to switch teams. And if you disconnect, all you get is no points! Its the winning team that gets double points.

Real bad seed is right, i will mis the indicaters if they are gone but it is a good idea. Also i like the idea of getting rid of points for kills and replacing them with team based score system, i fully suport that.

Vanilla BF2(or the new POE2 even). It offers a 2x bonus to the winning team but there's no teamswitch wave. And even if players wanted to do one, BF2s autobalance won't let you.(even though you'll still commit the suicide):lol:
