Nope, in vanilla BF2 (and POE) only the winning teams commander gets his points doubled. But now when I think about it, BF2 autobalance is a bit more effective than the one in bf42, so it actually might work. About the idea of loosing all score for kills, I really like it. I was thinking about a complicated system that would have required a lot of balancing (i.e tankvs infantry kills=1point, inf vs inf = 4, tank vs tank =4 and so on..) but Real-BadSeed's idea is so much better. Its simple and would really promote teamplay. I would like to keep the kills and deaths counter though. As a ground pounder(never thought of myself as a K/D whore :) ) I sometimes like to see how I did against all those tanks, planes, MGs etc in the end of the round. Howeever I dont like BF2 flag defend point system that much. If you play for the points you basically have to wait until the enemy gets to the flag capping radius, not the most tactial thing to do most of the time. I dont know how to improve this though, any ideas?

i read it, too. kill infantry .. 1 point kill a tank .. 4 points i like it !

i just hope this wont end up in making the tanks harder to destroy .. this should stay as realistic as in FH1

Yes its need to be realistic, if its not realistic dont do it, might hurt the comunity this way then the other though, if things are changed and it becomes less realistic that is.

My intention wasn`t to be funny at all. My point is that why fix the point system when we have a good one now? Do people REALLY care if you get more points for killing a tank? What if you take out a KT with a bazooka? You shurely have to get alot more points than if you take out a sherman with a faust? I mean, it`s alot easier! Or should we? What if you shoot down a plane with your pistol? Thats pretty impossible. That should give you a good score! If you kill a tank woth another tank, should you get more points than if you killed a tank with a AT kit? Nah, leave it like it is. It will only encourage scorewhores that kills you for a AT kit, hahaha!

Real-BadSeedI say get rid of all hit indicators like pprm has, its great for realism!

I think we need a new score system, rather than no system, where you get points for things other than kills. You should get no points for kills or deaths at all. But like eglaerinion said, you should get points for capping, and even more for defending, and doubled points for winning, also points for supporting. Those are great ideas!, and promote teamplay and winning. I say good riddance to score-ho's, who only play for their k/d ratios. blasted bftracks can die!!!

As for team switching, bf2 has a nice built in autobalance feature that wont allow you to switch teams. And if you disconnect, all you get is no points! Its the winning team that gets double points.
