I really like the infantry part of this game and i have two suggestions 1-It would be great to have the ability to turn your head left and right while running, instead of always running in different directions to look around which makes u slow down and an easy target. You can keep an open eye out for enemies on either sides of u . This would make the game more realistic by having people run like real humans , u would have a smoother image and u would get to your destination quicker and safer. This could be achieved by holding down a key which keeps u running in the same direction and u can move your mouse so that only your head turns (like when u r riding a jeep). If you turn your head to the left and u see something all u have to do is release the key and your whole body automaticaly turns to that direction where u spotted something.If u spot nothing and want to keep going in the original direction just look forward and release the key. Think about this one !! 2-My second though is that it would be very useful if we could point out things with our hands. THis would be done by pressing down a key and instead of your gun pointing, it would be your arm sticking out and u aim with it in the direction u want to point out things like, an enemy in a top window, or point out nears ammo box for someone looking for ammos. I suppose that in FH2 we will be able to talk to soldiers around us with the help of a mic, this combine with the ability to point out would really improve the infantry experience. Maybe another way would be to hold that special key down, aim with your hand and press and other key ( like the fire button )that would say "over there" or " look there" What do u think
I'm not sure if any of those two suggestions are doable by any mod. I think it has to be hard coded in the base engine. Atleast the first one.
But I dont realy know much about modding, just my thoughts.
As for the first one, it's kinda pointless, seeing as you can run sideways already. Modding time would be better spent on something else.
The second one is pretty much already there, what with the q key and the little icons on the minimap. If you actually wanted the hand to pint, I suppose that could be done by making it a weapon animation that fires nothing. IS82 had it.

It's not pointless, in the FH2 we will be able to sprint from cover to cover, or for longer distances ( till u get tired out). Running sideways slows u down drastically , making u an easy target. there's a big differnce !
p.s. sorry i do not know the original command for the q key , cause my keys are all reprogramed to other functions
Bf2 already has a first person "freelook" feature, though I think its disabled in the vanillia game. I discovered it by accedent while playing the Project Reality MiniMod. I think I hit / or some random key like that. Its pretty buggy though, you can look down and see your arms floating, and its not really usefull. It wouldnt be something I would use.
The second feature we might use for binoculars ala BF vietnam. When spotting a enemy target (something which will likely by limited to binocs) we can make the player point towards it.

I'm not quite sure what u mean by " u can see your arms floating" but with the / key that u hit could u look left and right of u will running or sprinting? Will this be available in FH2 ? I would sooo use this if it was available. Imagine while sprinting 50 or 100 meters to a building and having someone shoot at u, what do u do, u start running from side to side trying to find out where the shots are comming from, which slows u down drastically and makes u an even much easier target !! About the " pointing out stuff ", if i get this right your saying that only the artilary caller will point towards the target once it's been called. I don't see the point in pointing out a " spotted enemy" after u called for artillery. This is quite different then what i've mentioned above. No, you can strafe now, the option of looking around would mean your head moving only, rest of the body would not turn around. It was implemented in Operation Flashpoint and it did occured useful sometimes. You could look around any time by pressing "*" key.
I have another though on how this head movement thing can apply to something else. I'm not sure if in FH2 we will have the ability to lean forward, meaning, when u are on the side of a building and u want to see what's on the other side u can lean as to only have your head showing instead of your whole body which is more risky to having the enemy kill u. It would be great if we could lean and when u are in that leaning position u could turn your head to look to both sides of u. The same goes when u are near a window, u could lean forward ( making u're head stick out side the window) and look to both sides of u or straight down to see what's going on.
