Devs, please look at these maps:

Valirisk = Every allied tank is decent, and Axis has about 3 decent tanks. Allies have a Mig3 (outguns and outturns a Stuka, plus has 2 bombs) and Axis gets a Stuka (dead meat when in air with Mig). Tiger is usually not hard to take out at all given all the longbarrels on Allies.

Please, PLEASE give the Axis SOMETHING that's close to a Tank Destroyer. Or SOMETHING with a 50mm.. Like a Panzer II w/ 50mm (about 400 were made) that can kill things at LONG RANGE, like the allies do to me. Just remove the P4 D and Stug3B until there's some sort of use for them. I'd rather have jeeps and fausts then a huge lumbering piece of crap that can't take a hit and can't deal a hit.

Kharkov Winter = Yeah. Allies RAPE axis every time. Its not even funny. I've tracked it down to two factors. The T34 and the Allied fighters.

Lets face it, in FH, heavy bombers arent worth their weight in crap because they die so incredibly quickly to enemy fighters.

Now, Allies have T34s and BT7s. The BT7 is arguably the best tank in the map for several reasons.

Axis have Panzer IIs and Panzer IVDs and a Stug 3G. The Stug is a start, and I do appreciate that the devs took the time to add it.. but it is NOT enough. The Mig3 can destroy the heavy bomber then own the skies. Someone can take the BF109 if they want to delegate themselves to continually killing 1 of 2 Allied planes the entire game. Useless!

Just remove the T-34 and make the Mig3 a non-bomber variant and it MAY be fair. BT-7 is just about equal to the Panzer IV D and Panzer II, but can be killed by both. Which is a lot unlike the T34 which is ridiculously superior to either and can't be killed by either.

When you have a map that is symetrical (same on both sides) no side has a position advantage. No side has flags to begin with. Every side is equal to start. Now give one side completely superior equipment. How does the map tilt? To them, of course. The Axis can NOT get out of their base when a T-34 is camping them. It only takes 1 T-34 to spawn rape the entire Axis team. Lets not even get into the Katyusha.

What would I do? Better fortify both bases to prevent spawn rape (AT guns in bunkers to fend off tanks) and give the Axis a Stuka instead of the crappy HE bomber.

Prokhorovka - If the Axis get 2 stukas, which out-turn and out-climb IL-2s, and then get Tigers.. I don't see how Allies can win. If the Axis has a Tiger you just have to give Allies something bigger then a damned 76mm, or you have to remove planes that can easily shoot down their planes then continue on to bomb things.

Stukas > IL2s, so IL2 = gone. There, now axis have the best planes and tanks. Its over.

Please, I don't care if history has to bend a bit, make the map fair? Give Allies a Yak9 and 2 IL-2s, no TB3. They need more T34s, and SOME sort of longbarreled high velocity 2-hit-kill anti Tiger gun for ground combat.

Dont say the "b" word!

Valirisk: Wait until the PIII is released. Not a match for the T-34, but better. Smart use of the Tiger and the Stug IIIs will help the Axis win. This is 1943, no? Maybe a Nashorn is in order?

Kharkov: Too small for the Ju-88, give the Axis a Stuka. Again, wait for the P-III. Then it will be a little more fun.

Prokhorovka: :wtf: Dude, I'm no pilot, and even I can do well with the IL-2! IMO, giving the Soviets an ISU-122 or an SU-85 would give them a chance.

How many times have you seen something on a pub used "smartly"? No, man, saying 'one side needs to be a lot more clever and better in order to win' is NOT the sign of a balanced map.

I gave up on the Panzer III. It's been 3 betas. Lets try to balance it with stuff we have.

IL-2 is great if the Stukas dont shoot it down. And they DO, all the damn time, because they are a 100% superior plane. Better turning, climbing, and weapons. As for the SU85 or ISU122 I agree. It would help a lot.

Thats why I only play on pub servers if no clan servers are open.

Put the PIVF-2 in with PIII armour and weapon values until the PIII is done.

The IL2 needs tons more hitpoints and better rockets. That is to say, longer ranged ones.

Well for Prokhorovka, the IL2 works, but I can the whole map trying to kill stuka, but the blasted 23mm guns aren't detecting that the blasted Stuka should be a flaming piece of slag

The maps are to represent real battles and IRL the sides were not always balanced. Since BF engine balances out the teams the best you can do is play with spawn times and respawn times for vehicles.

yea. Ohioan was with me and some BFE mates when we were getting terribly spawn raped. Base defences, no fighter bombers and a Panzer III will do wonders for this map....and no Katyusha.....mabye some high angle artillery guns (yes, what artilery in FH needs most....Howitzers)

Agree, except for the IL-2 versus JU-87 part. IL-2 is far superior and can take a Stuka any time with better maneuverability and heavier guns, the rockets are somewhat useful against air targets too.

The allies however need some SU-152s to have something to kill the Tigers and Panthers. T-34s have no match at all against them.

like 4/5 times the map ends up with the axis holding every flag, except for occansional jeeps that get past the axis siege ring.
