The current gun on the stuart is not up to par. You cannot kill a panzer II with a frontal shot (well within the penetration of the 37mm gun).

the penetration of the 37mm at:

500m is 36mm @ 20 degree of slope 1000m is 30mm @ 20 degree of slope 1500m is 25mm @ 20 degree of slope

and the armour of the panzer II varies from:

14mm slightly sloped armour on the front, sides, and rear to 35mm Front and 20mm Side and rear armour.

So, shouldn't the Stuart be able to kill the P2 with one-shot or are you trying to balance it out with the p2?

or are my stats completely wrong (I just did a google search)

EDIT: I think I've got some more reliable stats now.

geesh. You dont have to make a new thread just to reflect an updated post... ;) Currently, the stuart as it is is mostly useless in real armored combat. I've had the most sucess with it as infantry support and against the occasional soft target. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more penetration through. Would that mean the top turret on the Grant would also get an upgrade?

Yes

And as usual, I'm a proponent of "If it penetrates, it should kill it, if it didn't, it shouldn't cause any damage", so yes, it should one shot a Pz2 every time, imo. Of course, going by my need for realism, FH2 would become more realistic than XWW2 was damage wise :D

Well if you do that, than the 50mm gun should one shot the stuart. right now you need at least 2 shots from all sides.

Don't be that guy :cort:

Besides it doesn't one-shot it from the sides either, which is highly "FH2" unrealistic.

Thats just a bug though, I'm pretty sure.

Ah, but I am that guy. Stuart should one shot the pz2, and Pz3 should one shot the Stuart, just like it does on the crusader:P

ya i would rather the stuart have an effective gun and no armour instead of decent armour and a useless gun. At least you might be able to kill a pz2 then before being taken down.
