The .50 does - in fact - damadge halftracks. Are you sure you're not mixing the 0.50 and .30 cal up? I'n FH the models are almost the same...

I never seem to be able to detect the difference of the 50 and 30 cal. (how much is a ".cal"?).. so I guess Lightning could be right. The MG does damage halftracks though.. but only very limited. What's a "dshk"?

50 is the heavy MG on tanks/stationary positions etc. 30's are not modelled but are coded in. If you look in the archives you'll see the new model for 30 caliber Mgs 30calibre.jpg

.50 cal is half of an inch in diameter. .30 is 30% of an inch in diametre. The fifty cal is much much stronger than the thirty, but slower firing. I wish they would change the damage for that gun to a realistic model. More like the MG42. If a real human were hit by a .50 cal bullet he'd be turned into Jell-O. The British used it early war to set up ambushes for the older German tanks because some of the spots on it's armour could be penetrated. That's a pretty potent round.

no, you were using the .30 cal if it was foy.

for the millionth time, in .61, the m1919 .30 cal medium machine gun LOOKS like an m2 .50 cal heavy machine gun, BUT has an ammo box.

the M2 .50 cal heavy machine gun has NO ammo box.

luckily, youl be able to tell the difference in .65 much much easier.
